Roslyn has an interest in family history and how African Americans are represented in today's society. Her family portrait series is based on photographs of older relatives that she hand draws and then digitally shades.
During the process of building these portraits, she consults with other relatives and learns stories about each individual subject and physical characteristics that are not revealed in the photograph alone.
