Roslyn's hand curated dry media coloring packs are made with bristol board to help you develop your coloring technique by using a professional base. Light grey outlines allow you to define the hardness of the subject edges.
Each coloring pack comes with 1 practice sheet and 2 final sheets. Use your practice sheet to practice value, color placement, and technique.
This finished Hellebore sheet was colored using Copic Alcohol Ink markers and Prismacolor colored pencils.
Helpful hint:
Check the distribution of light and dark values in your composition as you build it. To do this, take a picture of your work and turn the color saturation to zero to get a greyscale image.
In the image of the hellebore above, the centers are darker than the outer edges of the petals and the underside of the hellebore is darker than the top side of the petals. The leaves are are dark like the underside of the opening hellebore.
If you cannot turn down your color saturation, you may want to work with a greyscale value reference placed next to your photo like at the bottom of the finished photo.
